Originating in Japan, Reiki is a technique developed in 1922 by Mikao Usui. Medicine and science recognize that the human body is made of energy. Coping strategies, patterns and defenses via thoughts, feelings, trauma, beliefs, habits and injuries create holding patterns in our musculature that restrict the free flow of energy and block chakras, even when real threats cease to exist.
Practitioners of Reiki receive various attunements. Reiki channels vital energy to the patient to where there is blocked energy causing diminished functioning and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical allowing the energy to flow in order to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself to encourage emotional or physical healing to help restore the body, mind and emotions to wholeness. During your Reiki session, you will relax fully dressed on a massage table in a dimly lit space, sound tracked by soft music as I use various hand positions to direct healing energy to balance the body. Microdermabrasion is a progressive, non-invasive treatment that propels natural ultra fine mineral crystals onto the surface of the skin for gentle epidermal abrasion to treat a vast range of skin imperfections that reveals newer, healthier, younger skin with immediate visible results. The speed of the crystal flow causes an abrasive action that gently removes the surface layers of the skin, allowing smoother, fresher skin to emerge. The vacuum action helps to stimulate microcirculation, increasing the blood supply that provides nutrients needed for skin regeneration.
